Hargreaves Lansdown API
With the rapid growth of Fin-Tech companies that we have seen in the past five years, it is almost unimaginable that the existing giants in the industry have not tried to keep up. Sure, most of the giants such as AJ Bell and Hargreaves Lansdown have mobile apps that let you manage you accounts on the go, but the latter is missing one critical feature. Any developer will understand the importance of offering an Open API to end customers, it encourages innovation; new products and services all with your services at their core. So the question arises about why a financial giant like HL does not offer this product. Simply put, I don't know, but I have an idea. Hargreaves Lansdown have traditionally been a company where individuals deal with their own investments, unlike other like AJ Bell; users are usually only managing their own personal portfolios.
